DOWNLOAD: THAT'S ROMANCE - Tributo internacional ao John Zewizz/Sleep Chamber

Foi lançado em 8.6.2009 o primeiro volume do tributo internacional ao John Zewizz, mentor da banda Sleep Chamber e outros projetos desde 1978. bonequinho participa com a faixa “No one’s heart beats harder (live)”, gravada ao vivo e parcialmente em português ("Nenhum coração bate mais forte").

No dia 9 foi lançado o segundo volume. Os 2 CDs somam 27 artistas de vários países gravando versões pessoais para os clássicos underground criados por Zewizz ou inspirados por ele. Ambos podem ser baixados gratuitamente ou encomendados em CD pela Foamin’ Sodomy Records (EUA) em breve. O tributo foi idealizado pelo sempre louvável Because god told me to do it / Kill Your Godz.

Sexualidade, drogas rituais e magia individual. E direitos animais.

O retorno dos CDs será destinado a fundos de preservação dos ursos polares, escolha do próprio John Zewizz. Ele criou o subversivo Sleep Chamber em 1981 e sempre foi um defensor das causas animais. O Sleep Chamber está ativo e dá continuidade à sua longa discografia. São dezenas de CDs, K7s e vídeos autoproduzidos. O novo disco é Stolen Sleep, lançado em junho.
É o primeiro "cover" gravado pela banda bonequinho, feito especialmente para o tributo, e bastante diferente da versão original. bnqnh agradece ao Brad Miller e ao John Zewizz e saúda a todos os envolvidos neste adorável projeto de barulho explícito.

THAT'S ROMANCE - A LOVING TRIBUTE TO JOHN ZEWIZZ 8.6.2009 = release of part 1 of the international tribute to John Zewizz, the mind of Sleep Chamber and other projects since 1978. Featuring bonequinho with the track “No one’s heart beats harder (live)”, recorded partially in Portuguese. The next day saw the release of volume 2. A total of 27 artists presenting personal versions for the original underground classics created by Zewizz or just inspired by him.
Both are available for free download or can be buyed in cd via Foamin’ Sodomy Records (USA) very soon. The tribute was idealized by the always-lovable Because god told me to do it / Kill Your Godz. The money from the CDs goes to benefit funds for the polar bears as intended by John Zewizz himself. He created the subversive Sleep Chamber in Boston (USA) in 1981 and was always involved with the animal rights. Sleep Chamber is active and continues adding titles to their extensive discography – dozens of CDs, K7s and videos self-produced. The new record is Stolen Sleep, release on June.
It`s the first time bonequinho recorded a “cover version”; it`s specially for the tribute and really different to the original version.

Curta-metragem experimental feito pelo grupo bonequinho com o ator Esso Maciel (Hesso Maciel/Adílson Antunes), veterano maldito do cinema independente e performance nacionais. Nos anos 60, Maciel participou de várias produções do cineasta José Mojica Marins, o Zé do Caixão, incluindo o clássico "O Estranho Mundo de Zé do Caixão" (1968).

Trilha sonora dos discos Mimeto Pascal EP (2006), GOTTANZ Vol. 1 (2007) e do recente MULHERES DE MARTE - dezembro de 2008. O texto no final é "Desígnio", do poeta brasileiro JCM Brandão, de seu livro "EXÍLIO" (Ed. Massao Ohno, 1983).

"THE MAN BLIND TO HIMSELF", xperimental short movie made by the bonequinho group with the actor Esso Maciel (Hesso Maciel/Adílson Antunes), a polemic veteran of Brazilian independent cinema and performance. In the 60s, Maciel has featured in various films by the legendary horror filmmaker José Mojica Marins - Zé do Caixão (aka Coffin Joe), including the classic "The Strange World of Coffin Joe" (1968).

Soundtrack is from the recs MIMETO PASCAL ep (2006), GOTTANZ Vol. 1 (2007) and the recent WOMEN FROM MARS - released in Dec., 2008. The ending text is "Desígnio", by Brazilian poet JCM Brandão, from his book "EXÍLIO" (Ed. Massao Ohno, 1983):

OBSERVAÇÕES: Este é um exemplo do uso total da improvisação nas composições do bonequinho: “Without a sound” teve somente um texto prévio, sem qualquer base ou melodia. O som foi então criado e gravado em um só take, assim como os demais sons de “Egocídio, 1930: a ausência diária”, um dos k-7s mais mal gravados da banda, mais tarde lançado parcialmente na coletânea em CD “VINIL/NIHIL” (2002), também do bonequinho.
Em 2006, a formação atual rearranjou o improviso original e incorporou Without a sound ao repertório de shows, lançando também um registro bem mais apurado no CD “Alien Totem” (2006).

NOTE: This is an example of the full use of improvisation in the compositions by bonequinho: “Without a sound” had only a previous text, without any structure or melody. The sound was created and recorded in only one take, just like the other ones from “Egocídio, 1930: a ausência diária” (Egocide, 1930: the daily absence), one of the worst-recorded tapes of the band. Later, the tape was partially released in the CD-compilation “VINIL/NIHIL” (bonequinho, 2002).
In 2006, the current line-up rearranged the original improvisation and added Without a sound to their live set. This “new version” was recorded and released with a better sound in the “Alien Totem” CD (2006).
