NOTE: This is an example of the full use of improvisation in the compositions by bonequinho: “Without a sound” had only a previous text, without any structure or melody.
The sound was created and recorded in only one take, just like the other ones from “Egocídio, 1930: a ausência diária” (Egocide, 1930: the daily absence), one of the worst-recorded tapes of the band. Later, the tape was partially released in the CD-compilation “VINIL/NIHIL” (bonequinho, 2002).
In 2006, the current line-up rearranged the original improvisation and added Without a sound to their live set.
This “new version” was recorded and released with a better sound in the “Alien Totem” CD (2006).
